The fourth week of May, from 19 to 23, was
～International awareness week～ at Frontier Global School.
This time the theme was Scotland.
During Scotland week, we did some coloring and crafts related to Scotland.

 

 

The children colored the Scottish flag which has two colors in it,

a white diagonal cross on a navy blue background.

They learned that this flag, combined with the flags of England and former flag of

Ireland, make up the flag of the United Kingdom, known as the “Union Jack”.

The children colored the flags using colored pencils

and then displayed them in the entrance hall.

 

The main event of the week happened on Wednesday, May 21st.

There was an International Awareness Presentation given on Scotland.

 

The children learned about the location, currency, population, geography,

history, historical sites, customs and traditions, traditional clothes and musical

instruments, popular sports, food, famous Scottish people, and so on.
