France Presentation

In the end of May we had a presentation on France by teacher Greg.  It started by listening to the French national anthem.

The first part of the presentation was about French geography and food. They have learnt that Paris is the capital city and Eiffel Tower is there.

Students had presentation of some French dishes and sweets like tartiflette, raclette, cakes, and macaron.

France is full of fun in summer.  Some of the French cultural festivals are inspired by neighbor countries such as corridas in the south west of France connected to Spain. French National day is on July 14th and there are popular balls where people go dancing. Summer means beaches, water and fun. France has many beautiful beaches and wavy areas for those who like surfing. People may enjoy getting lost in a temporary maze in a corn field.

Heritage of Middle-age and renaissance period, France has many castles. They are quite beautiful and open to visitors. It is possible to see the French garden style.

France is a country of collective sports with strong soccer, rugby and handball teams.

France has strong economical fields like fashion and engineering: trains (TGV, French bullet train), Airbus is the fusion of mainly French and German companies with an extension on Spanish and British companies. The European space program is issued of Ariane Espace, French space program. All European rockets are launched from French Guiana, near Brazil.

Indeed, France has lands everywhere in the world and French is spoken in many countries (heritage of the colonial era).
