Craft|

Snack Cooking|

Science|

Craft | Sponge Stamping
This month, the children got creative with sponge stamping to make colorful autumn leaves!
Using leaf-shaped templates, they chose their favorite colors and dabbed paint onto the paper with sponges.
Some experimented with layering colors to create beautiful gradients, while others used their imagination to capture the colors
they associate with autumn.
Even though everyone started with the same template, each finished leaf was unique.
It was wonderful to see the children’s creativity and personalities shine through in their artwork! ✨
Snack Cooking | Pancake Omelettes
For this month’s snack cooking activity, we made delicious pancake omelettes!
After cooking their pancakes, the children filled them with whipped cream and added their favorite toppings,
including chocolate sauce and fruit. They had lots of fun creating their own combinations, saying things like,
“Let’s add this!” and “I want extra chocolate!”
Once their creations were ready, everyone couldn’t wait to dig in! They took big bites and enjoyed every mouthful.
There’s something extra special about a snack you’ve made yourself! ♪
Science | The Mystery of Iron Sand and Magnets
In September, we explored the fascinating world of iron sand and magnets.
We started by learning key science vocabulary in both Japanese and English before watching a demonstration.
When a magnet was brought close to the iron sand, the tiny particles stood up like the spines of a hedgehog!
The children watched in amazement and couldn’t wait to try it themselves.
They then experimented with magnets, moving them around and observing how the iron sand responded.
Finally, they recorded their discoveries and reflections.
It was a fun hands-on experience filled with curiosity, discovery, and plenty of “Wow!” moments! ✨
